I am seriously considering having submental liposuction as I have a fatty chin that seems to be inherited from my mother. I am a 31 year old female, 5' 3" and weigh 115 lbs., so I know it's not because I have to lose a few pounds.
At the same time, I am thinking about having rhynoplasty to correct a slightly crooked, and wide-based nose, also inherited from my diverse ethnic background (white, black, oriental, you name it, I've got it).
Would it be wise to have both procedures done together? I am concerned about scaring, particularly in the rhynoplasty since I understand that having the base of my nose narrowed, traditionally means having incisions on the outside, and since I am 1/4 oriental, I may be prone to scarring.
I would also like to know if you have heard about the technique of "mioplasty of the septum's depressor muscle" (see www.imedical.com/ijpas/bolivar2/article.html) in which the base of the nose may be narrowed with intraoral and intranasal incisions instead of cutting on the outside. Do you or anyone in the US or Canada perform this?
As you can tell, I've done my homework. I live in Toronto Canada, and would like to have these procedures done within the next couple months, in time to heal somewhat for the summer. I am not averse to travelling to the States to have these done, subject to compeitive costs.
Your earliest reply would be appreciated.
P.S. I think your website is great!
